Mehmood Gami

The connection between the manuscript Sehrul bayan in the Princeton University Library and our prominent poet of 18th-19th century Mehmood Gami is becoming really interesting.The more I think about it ,the more I am inclined to believe that this manuscript was indeed calligraphed either by Mehmood Gami or some one in Kashmir.I have already written my research paper on this find and handed it over to the Cultural Academy for inclusion in the next issu of Sheeraza.A word for the people at the Princeton University Library.Any images available in their on line collections belonging to the Library can not be used unless you have a written permission from the authorities of the Library.There is a fee to be paid for such usage.However it can be waived off if the images are not used for any commercial purpose.A simple request was made for the permission.A reply came within a few hours seeking few clarifications.The clarifications conveyed and look; the letter of permission arrived in an e mail.Thanks.
